The organisers of the IID2008 meeting are pleased to announce a special event
that will take place on Thursday 15 May - the Young Investigator Collegiality
Night.
The purpose is to provide an opportunity for young investigators from all
3 societies to meet socially and to get to know each other better.
There will be a free drink/snacks reception at 6pm in the Swan Room (which
overlooks the conference center lake) following which a number of Japanese hosts
will offer to form small groups to go out for dinner at various Kyoto restaurants
(everyone pays their own way although the JSID is offering some additional support).
This event is quite separate from the "Welcome Reception" that takes
place at 7pm on Wednesday 14 May and the "Social Gathering" that is
being held at 7pm on Friday 16 May.
Please support all social parts of the meeting!
Oh .... and "young" of course can refer to "young at heart"
rather than just a biological number.
